How to Get the Static Chick
What this page helps you decide: which egg to hatch for the Static Chick, and how many hatches to budget before it shows up
The Static Chick is a Common chicken, tier 1 of 10 on the rarity ladder that appears in the drop data. One egg can hatch it, and the best published rate is 14% from the Thunder Egg — about 7 hatches before you should expect to see one. Below: every route in with the expected hatches worked out, where it sits among the 16 outcomes of that egg, how it compares with the other Common chickens, and what we found when we checked the published percentages.

Only one way in
Nothing else in the current drop data produces the Static Chick. That makes the Thunder Egg a single gate: at 14% you should expect around 7 hatches before it appears, and farming any other egg does not shorten that number. The Thunder Egg itself is laid by the Sergeant Hen, so one of those on the plot is the entire supply chain — there is no second source to fall back on if you stop keeping it.
Where it sits inside the Thunder Egg
The Thunder Egg can hatch 16 different chickens. The Static Chick is the 1st most likely of them, with 15 outcomes sitting below it on the table. At that position it turns up often enough that a dedicated farm is usually wasted effort — it arrives while you are chasing the rarer drops in the same egg.
Against the other Common chickens
There are 12 Common chickens in the current drop data. Ranked by best available rate, 9 of them are easier to obtain than the Static Chick and 2 are harder. Rarity labels are not difficulty labels: two chickens carrying the same tag can sit an order of magnitude apart in expected hatches.
What the published table does not say
These rates come from a single community index rather than the game files, so we checked the arithmetic before using them. 9 of the 17 egg tables do not add up to 100 percent — across the set they run from 91 to 102 percent. The Thunder Egg table does add up, which is a small point in its favour. Rounded rates are good enough for deciding which egg to farm. They are not good enough for predicting any single hatch, and anywhere a rate is written as "under 1%" the true value could be several times smaller than the estimate above.
Step-by-Step
- Keep a Sergeant Hen on your plot — it lays the Thunder Egg, which is the source you can actually control.
- Hatch it repeatedly and budget around 7 hatches at the published 14%.
- Do not spend sessions on other eggs hoping for it; nothing else in the data drops the Static Chick.
- Treat it as a by-product: farm the Thunder Egg for its rarer outcomes and this one will arrive on the way.

What rarity is the Static Chick?
Common, which is tier 1 of the 10 rarity steps that appear in the drop data.
