What this page helps you decide: whether to buy fusion lock slots one at a time or take the bundle, and where the ceiling on locked traits actually sits.

Fusion in Grow a Chicken Fighter takes two chickens and gives back one. The official experience description puts it in one line, FUSE two chickens into a mutated monster, and almost everything else the developer has said about fusion in public is not in a wiki or a Discord announcement. It is in the Robux store. Six separate game passes sell fusion lock slots, numbered 3 through 8, and the text on the eighth one calls it the final slot. That single word is the most useful thing published about this system anywhere, because it puts a hard ceiling on a mechanic nobody has documented from the inside.

Why we say eight locks is the maximum

The claim rests on one sentence of official store copy plus one piece of arithmetic, and we would rather show you both than ask you to trust us. The sentence is the description of Fusion Lock 8: "Lock every trait you want — unlocks your 8th (final) fusion lock slot, forever." The arithmetic is that the developer sells exactly six single-slot passes and numbers them 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, while the bundle that covers them is sold as "all six fusion lock slots at once". Six slots on sale, with the highest of them numbered eight and labelled final, only adds up if two slots are never sold at all: the first and the second. The natural reading is that every player starts with those two, and that the store simply begins where the free allowance ends. We want to be exact about where the evidence stops, though. The eight-slot ceiling comes straight from the developer's own words. The idea that locks one and two are granted automatically is our inference from the numbering, and no official text confirms it.

The bundle wording is not stale, and the timestamps show it

There is a fair objection to the paragraph above: maybe "all six fusion lock slots" is leftover copy from a time when six was the total, with the seventh and eighth bolted on later. The creation timestamps rule that out. All six single-slot passes were created on 2026-07-20 within about a minute of one another, running from Fusion Lock 8 at 14:09:07 UTC down to Fusion Lock 3 at 14:10:09 UTC. Fusion Master and King of the Coop were created nine days later, on 2026-07-29, less than half a minute apart. The bundle copy was therefore written at a point when slots 3 through 8 already existed and were already on sale. "Six" counts the slots the developer sells, not the slots the game contains, and the eighth slot was labelled final from the day it first appeared.

What the price curve implies, and what it does not

The steps between slots grow the whole way up: 50, then 100, then 150, then 200, then a 300 Robux jump to the last one. The final slot on its own costs more than slots 3, 4 and 5 combined. That shape tells you how the developer values the top of the ladder, and it explains why a bundle exists at roughly half the sum of its parts. It tells you nothing about how useful the eighth locked trait is in an actual fight, because no combat numbers are published for this game at all. One more caution about the maths: we have found no official statement on whether slots you already bought are credited toward Fusion Master, so treat the singles path and the bundle path as two separate purchases unless the in-game store tells you otherwise.

What is still unknown about fusion

Six things about this system are genuinely not published, and we would rather name them than fill the gap with guesses. First, the traits themselves: there is no official list of what traits exist or which chickens carry them. Second, whether a lock applies per chicken or per account. Third, whether fusing has requirements beyond owning two chickens, such as a level, a currency cost or a cooldown. Fourth, what a mutated monster actually gains, since no stat block for any chicken is published anywhere official. Fifth, whether the first two lock slots are free, which as explained above is our inference rather than a statement. Sixth, whether any slot can be earned in game instead of bought. There is also no back door to these answers. Many Roblox experiences leak their mechanics through badge names, but this one has published no badges at all, so the only official text about fusion in existence is the line in the game description plus the descriptions of the eight purchasable passes that mention fusion, whose gift copies simply repeat the same text.

Step-by-Step

  1. Read what a lock actually buys before you spend anything. The official text on Fusion Lock 3 is: "Keep 1 more trait every fusion — unlocks your 3rd lock slot, forever." One slot equals one extra trait carried through a fusion. The slots are not a discount and not a stat multiplier; they decide how much of a chicken survives being fused.
  2. Know the ceiling. Fusion Lock 8 is sold with the description: "Lock every trait you want — unlocks your 8th (final) fusion lock slot, forever." The word final is the developer's, not ours, and it is why this page exists. Eight is the top of the ladder, so anyone promising a ninth lock slot is guessing.
  3. Price the ladder before you start climbing it, because it is not linear. Slot 3 costs 99 Robux, slot 4 costs 149, slot 5 costs 249, slot 6 costs 399, slot 7 costs 599 and slot 8 costs 899. All six bought separately come to 2,394 Robux, and every step up is bigger than the one before it: plus 50, plus 100, plus 150, plus 200, then plus 300.
  4. Compare that against the bundle. Fusion Master is sold as "All six fusion lock slots at once — lock every trait, forever" for 1,199 Robux. The same six slots bought one by one cost 2,394, so the bundle is 1,195 Robux cheaper, almost exactly half price. If you already know you want more than two or three of them, buying singles stops making sense quickly.
  5. Find your own break-even point rather than copying someone else's. Slots 3 through 6 bought individually cost 896 Robux, which is still less than the 1,199 bundle. Adding slot 7 takes the singles route to 1,495, which is more than the bundle. The crossing point therefore sits between the sixth and the seventh slot: stop at six and singles win, want a seventh and the bundle was always the cheaper path.
  6. Check whether King of the Coop suits you better. At 1,499 Robux it is described as "Everything, forever: ×2 corn and money, half-price elevator, and all six fusion lock slots." That is Fusion Master at 1,199 plus Everything ×2 at 549 plus Elevator VIP at 149, which would be 1,897 bought separately. Note what the description does not name: Big Coop, Speedy Sneakers and Night Shift are not in it, so everything here means everything in that list, not every pass in the game.
  7. Do not double-count the store listing. Every fusion lock pass has a matching [Gift] copy meant for buying it for someone else. Those gift entries carry no price and are not for sale on their own. Of the 30 passes attached to this experience, 14 are gift copies, which is why each fusion lock name appears twice when you scroll the store.
  8. Decide from the slot you are actually at, not from the ceiling. Slot 3 at 99 Robux is the cheapest item in the entire pass catalogue for this game, and King of the Coop at 1,499 is the most expensive. If you fuse casually, the third lock alone changes the arithmetic of every fusion you do, and you can stop there without ever touching the rest of the ladder.

Tips & Notes

  • Every price, name and description on this page was read from Roblox's own game pass endpoints on 2026-08-25. Developers can re-price, rename or retire a pass at any time, so treat the ladder as accurate for that date and glance at the in-game store before you buy.
  • "Forever" is the developer's word and it matches how Roblox game passes normally work: a one-off purchase attached to your account rather than a subscription.
  • One pass in this catalogue, Night Shift, is listed but is not for sale and carries no price at all. Seeing a pass written up in a guide does not mean it is buyable today.

FAQ

How many traits can you lock in a single fusion?

Up to eight, if you own every slot. Fusion Lock 3's official description explains that a slot means you "keep 1 more trait every fusion", and Fusion Lock 8's description calls it "your 8th (final) fusion lock slot". Eight slots therefore means eight traits carried through the fusion.

Can you unlock fusion lock slots without paying Robux?

We do not know, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Slots 3 to 8 are sold as game passes. Nothing Roblox publishes about this experience says whether the first two slots are granted automatically or whether any slot can be earned through play. If you have seen a slot unlock in game, that is better evidence than anything published so far.

Is Fusion Master better value than buying slots one at a time?

It depends on how far up the ladder you intend to go. Slots 3 through 6 bought singly cost 896 Robux against the bundle's 1,199, so a player who stops at six saves by buying singles. Wanting the seventh slot pushes the singles total to 1,495, past the bundle price, and all six bought singly cost 2,394 against 1,199 for the bundle.

Why does the store show two of every fusion lock pass?

Because each one has a [Gift] copy for buying it for another player. The gift entries are not for sale on their own and carry no price. Fourteen of the 30 passes on this experience are gift copies, so the duplicate names are expected rather than a listing error.

How many chickens does one fusion consume?

Two. The official experience description says "FUSE two chickens into a mutated monster". What the resulting chicken's stats look like, and whether anything besides locked traits carries over, is not published anywhere official.

Will these prices still be right when I read this?

They were read directly from Roblox's game pass endpoints on 2026-08-25, and the for-sale fusion pass records had not been edited since 2026-07-29. Developers can change prices at any time, so use the ladder here to plan and confirm the number in the in-game store before you spend.
